Sometimes life can be very stressful due to a variety of barriers. Things like anxiety, depression or grief can interrupt our lives and lead to despair. Oftentimes as humans, we have this feeling that we are alone in this despair and that nobody can help us. Negative thoughts and feelings about ourselves can lead to poor self-esteem and isolation from those we love, as well as difficulties in our relationships and priorities from school to career. I believe we as humans all have the capacity to achieve our goals and transform into our best version of ourselves, and therapy can be the first step to achieving these goals!
I am a trained Mental Health Counselor with specialization in treating anxiety-related disorders, as well as substance abuse and specific issues related to men and adolescents. I have completed advanced certificates in Motivational Interviewing to address substance abuse, as well as Dialectical-Behavioral therapy to address issues regulating emotions.
Life can appear stressful and scary at times, but it does not have to overwhelm you any longer. Taking the first step to begin therapy can be the path to recovery and gaining control of your life once again. I provide a warm and inviting environment for clients to feel listened to, understood and respected. You are in control of your future that starts now.
